Rolling up sleeves and getting dirty, GT Philadelphia members will participate in helping its partner school re-launch a gardening project, working alongside 5th through 8th graders, educators, parents, and volunteers in revitalizing a community resource. The cleanup effort is phase I of the campaign to further ground the physical, mental, and environmental benefits of gardening among the broader school community and residents of the neighborhood Blaine serves.
This project is one of several in which the firm engages with this K-8 school and the School District of Philadelphia as part of the office's focus on literacy, holistic career exposure, and pipeline building, stemming from its Read by 4th commitment. GT is the first law firm in Philadelphia to participate in that signature program, a public-private initiative coordinated by the Free Library of Philadelphia to help ensure every child in the city is reading on level by the fourth grade.
