2021 Privacy + Security Forum

Greenberg Traurig is sponsoring the Virtual Fall Academy 2021 Privacy + Security Forum, taking place from September 29 - October 1, 2021. Silicon Valley, Los Angeles, and Washington D.C. shareholder Ian C. Ballon will be speaking on Wednesday, September 29.  San Francisco shareholder Gretchen A. Ramos and San Francisco of counsel Darren Abernethy will both be speaking on Friday, October 1.

Ian Ballon, Co-Chair of Greenberg Traurig's Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group, will join a panel presenting a workshop on "Surprising Trends and Important Lessons from Recent Developments in Cybersecurity Breach and CCPA Litigation." This workshop will drill down on CCPA and cybersecurity breach litigation to provide granular solutions for companies seeking to improve their position when sued, both from a litigation and risk-mitigation perspective. In addition, he will also be leading a networking session on Thursday, September 30. 

Gretchen Ramos, Co-chair of the firm's Global Data, Privacy & Cybersecurity Practice,  will be presenting on "Transfer Impact Assessments: Three Months In." The panel of privacy experts will discuss the major developments on the TIA front, the best practices we have seen emerging in relation to the documentation of TIAs, and possible solutions to various challenges that organizations are facing in relation to EU based customers.

Shareholder Darren Abernethy will be hosting and moderating a roundtable event that will cover digital advertising and privacy matters.
