Greenberg Traurig’s Kara Bombach Speaks at International Stability Operations Association Summit

Washington, D.C. (Oct. 8, 2014)Kara Bombach, a shareholder in the International Trade & Customs practice at the Washington, D.C. office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will present at the International Stability Operations Association (ISOA) 2014 Annual Summit on Thursday, Oct. 9, at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C.

The presentation, titled “Managing Sanctions and Bribery Risks in Austere Environments, will focus in particular on risks that relationships with subcontractors and other third parties create or exacerbate when operating in challenging environments. The panel will highlight best practices on preventing, detecting and mitigating potential legal violations, and demonstrate that legal compliance need not be an impediment to performance. This session will be useful for attorneys and consultants, as well as operations personnel who are faced with sanctions and corruption risks in the field. Kara Bombach will be joined in this presentation by Pavan Khoobchandani, Counsel, SOC LLC; and Marissa Michel, Strategic Threat Management, PwC.
