Greenberg Traurig EB-5 Group Sponsors Second Annual Las Vegas EB-5 Conference

Two Attorneys from Business Immigration & Compliance Practice to Serve as Moderators

LAS VEGAS – Jan. 13, 2015 – The international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will sponsor the Second Annual Las Vegas EB-5 Conference hosted by EB5 Investors Magazine and EB5Investors.com at the Wynn Encore Resort in Las Vegas, Nev. The all-day conference will take place Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In addition, Laura Reiff and Kate Kalmykov from the firm’s EB-5 group will serve as speakers.

According to the organization’s website, the second annual conference will deliver an interactive and premium networking experience for all attendees and provide valuable information in beginner and advanced panels on various EB-5 topics such as regional center issues, using EB-5 for financing or immigration purposes, and current legal trends. The conference features keynote speaker Congressman Jared Polis, chair of the NewDem Coalition's Immigration Task Force and sponsor of The American Entrepreneurship and Investment Act, which would reform and make permanent the EB-5 Immigrant Investor visa program.

Reiff will serve as a moderator for the “Analyzing Possible 2015 Legislative Changes & Retrogression Impacts in the EB-5 program” panel, which includes U.S. Congressman Jared Polis as a panelist. Reiff is co-chair of the Business Immigration & Compliance practice and is an active leader in immigration reform. She focuses her practice on business immigration laws and regulations affecting U.S. and foreign companies, as well as related employment compliance and legislative issues.

Kalmykov will be a moderator for the “EB-5 Raises & SEC Regulations” panel. Kalmykov is a shareholder in the Business Immigration & Compliance practice and focuses her practice on the EB-5 Immigrant Investor program, with a decade of experience in the industry. She regularly works with developers across a variety of industries, as well as private equity funds on developing new projects that qualify for EB-5 investments. She also counsels foreign nationals on obtaining green cards through individual or Regional Center EB-5 investments, as well as issues related to I-829 Removal of Conditions.
