Firm Names 2015 Shareholder/Of Counsel Class; Reports Record Financial Performance for 2014
LOS ANGELES – March 3, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP announced the elevation of Nina D. Boyajian, Lori Chang, Craig C. Glorioso, Candice E. Kim, and Karen Rosenthal to shareholder and Courtney A. Hopley and Irene Pyun Kim to of counsel in its Los Angeles, Orange County, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley offices. Firmwide, Greenberg Traurig elevated 32 attorneys to shareholder and 20 to of counsel to its 2015 class. In addition, the firm also announced record financial performance for 2014.
Nina D. Boyajian (Los Angeles) is a litigator with a focus on trademark counseling, prosecution, enforcement, and litigation; copyright counseling, enforcement, and litigation; unfair competition/false advertising counseling and litigation; and privacy litigation. She also has experience defending class action lawsuits and litigating general business disputes. Boyajian’s litigation experience extends to both state and federal courts. She received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Lori Chang (Los Angeles) represents clients in a variety of business and commercial disputes with emphasis on intellectual property and Internet litigation, including matters involving copyright, DMCA, trademark, privacy, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, and other Internet-related disputes. In addition, her practice involves counseling on data security and privacy matters, including matters involving data security breaches and matters pertaining to Stored Communications Act. Chang received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and her B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Craig C. Glorioso (Orange County) focuses his practice on real estate, financing, and business transactions. His experience includes representing individuals, corporations, real estate funds, and real estate investment trusts (REITs) in all aspects of the purchase, sale, financing, and maintenance of residential, commercial, retail, hospitality, and industrial portfolios. Glorioso also advises clients in connection with originations, purchase, participations, workouts, and restructurings of senior and subordinate mortgage and mezzanine debt. Glorioso received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law and his B.A. from Ohio University.
Candice E. Kim (Los Angeles) focuses on U.S. and international trademark portfolio management and provides strategic counsel on the clearance, acquisition, development, enforcement, monetization, and licensing of intellectual property rights. Kim represents clients in proceedings before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office’s Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and in proceedings under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy before the National Arbitration Forum and the World Intellectual Property Organization. Kim received her J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Washington.
Karen Rosenthal (Silicon Valley) focuses her practice on general commercial litigation and has experience in the areas of complex business litigation, employment litigation, commercial landlord/tenant litigation, real estate litigation, and intellectual property litigation. She represents a wide variety of clients in state and federal courts. Rosenthal received her J.D. from the University of California at Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and her B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley.
Courtney A. Hopley (San Francisco) represents clients in federal and state tax controversies before the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board at the audit, collection, appeals, and litigation stages. She works on tax controversy matters involving partnerships, corporations, individuals, real estate, and penalty disputes. Additionally, Hopley has experience in tax planning involving entity formation, mergers and acquisitions, and reorganization transactions. Hopley received her LL.M. from New York University School of Law, her J.D. from the University of Colorado Law School, and her B.A. from Colorado College.
Irene Pyun Kim (Orange County) focuses her practice on working with real estate investment trusts (REITs), real estate funds and their advisors, and banks in connection with the purchase, sale, and financing of commercial properties, as well as the origination, acquisition, structuring, and restructuring of mortgage loans, mezzanine loans, and other subordinate debt financings. Kim’s practice also includes representation of institutional lenders and borrowers in resolving troubled real estate loans and the purchase and sale of distressed and non-performing loans. She received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Law School and her B.A. from the University of California at San Diego.
