Greenberg Traurig Named Among Top Corporate Law Firms in 2015 Annual Law and the Boardroom Study

NEW YORK– May 13, 2015 – International law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has been named as one of America’s top corporate law firms in the 2015 Annual Law and the Boardroom Study conducted by NYSE Governance Services and FTI Consulting, Inc.

"America’s Best Corporate Law Firms" reflects the views of more than 500 participating directors and general counsel of publically traded companies, who between February and April 2015, participated in the survey and weighed in on current governance and legal matters. The top 25 law firms, based on number of votes received, are included in the ranking.

“Our entire strategy is premised upon the delivery of an elite level of legal excellence, like those firms ranked with us in this top 25 listing, as well as extraordinary value, due to a uniquely efficient and collaborative platform and delivery system which would be difficult for traditional elite firms to recreate today even if they wanted to,” said Richard A. Rosenbaum, Greenberg Traurig’s chief executive officer. “There is little question that those whose opinions matter most--the very clients who purchase and utilize the most sophisticated legal services in the world--have come to understand they have choices beyond the traditional names and models, and we are truly humbled and honored that they have chosen to rank us among the top 25 corporate law firms, an area of great importance to our entire law firm.”

“FTI Consulting salutes each of the law firms recognized for the outstanding service they deliver and the reputations they have established,” said Neal Hochberg, global leader of the Forensic & Litigation Consulting segment of FTI Consulting. “These rankings are particularly noteworthy because they come from corporate directors and general counsel, and join them in congratulating the honorees on their exceptional achievements.”

“Boards and general counsel have increasingly stressed the advisory role of corporate law firms as invaluable legal resources to public companies,” said Stacey Cunningham, president, NYSE Governance Services. “As a reputable source of information in the GRC space, we are proud to offer the most trusted survey of the industry leaders.”

On May 12, 2015, NYSE Governance Services and FTI Consulting, Inc. celebrated with honoree firms at the eighth annual Legal Recognition Dinner at the New York Stock Exchange. The results of the survey and the law firm rankings are featured in the Q2 2015 issue of Corporate Board Member magazine.

Previously, Greenberg Traurig had been selected as a best corporate law firm in local markets during eight consecutive years in Corporate Board Member magazine’s Legal Industry Research Study, also sponsored by FTI Consulting.
