Greenberg Traurig’s Fred E. Karlinsky Speaks at the IRES Career Development Seminar and Regulatory Skills Workshop

PHOENIX - Aug. 17,  2016 – Fred E. Karlinsky, shareholder in the Fort Lauderdale and Tallahassee offices of international law firm Greenberg Traurig P.A., spoke at the Insurance Regulatory Examiners Society’s (IRES) Career Development Seminar and Regulatory Skills Workshop held Aug. 9th in Phoenix, AZ.  This is IRES' premier professional development workshop for those who work in different areas of insurance regulation.

Karlinsky, a member of the IRES Foundation Board, moderated the “Commissioners Roundtable” during which insurance commissioners discussed some of the major issues facing their states and provided their departments’ perspective on important insurance-related matters. The roundtable participants were: Director Leslie Hess of Arizona, Commissioner Ken Selzer of Kansas, Superintendent Eric Cioppa of Maine, Director Bruce Ramge of Nebraska, Superintendent John Franchini of New Mexico, and Commissioner Adam Hamm of North Dakota.

Karlinsky is co-chair of Greenberg Traurig's Insurance Regulatory and Transactions Practice  and a shareholder within the Government Law & Policy Group. He represents insurers, reinsurers, producers, and other insurance interests throughout the U.S. and internationally in a wide variety of business, operational, regulatory, transactional, and governmental matters. Recognized as one of the top insurance lawyers by Chambers and Partners, Karlinsky has wide-ranging knowledge of insurance compliance matters and is a sought-after thought leader who has spoken and presented papers to insurance executives and governmental officials, both nationally and internationally. Karlinsky received a bachelor's degree from the University of Miami and a Juris Doctorate from the Florida State University College of Law, where he currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Law.
