Greenberg Traurig’s Kelly Bunting to Speak at SHRM Annual Conference in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS June  7, 2017Kelly Dobbs Bunting, a Labor & Employment shareholder in the Philadelphia office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, will participate in the 2017 Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Conference & Exposition, June 19-21 in New Orleans. The conference is among the largest HR events in the world and offers countless opportunities for professionals to stay up-to-date on trends, new strategies, and innovations in HR.

Bunting will present twice: the first presentation, on June 20, titled “When Performance Meets Protected Right” will address how to spot potential FMLA/ADA issues when disciplining problem employees. On June 21, Bunting will present, “Global Compliance with U.S. Discrimination Laws,” which will address which U.S. employment laws apply to workers overseas, and tips on best practices to avoid lawsuits.

Bunting focuses her practice on defending employers around the country in class and collective wage and hour litigation; discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims and whistleblower claims; and trade secrets and restrictive covenant litigation. Bunting also provides advice regarding labor issues; internal audits and investigations; global employment issues; and FCPA/anti-corruption law compliance. As the firm’s co-chair of Compliance/HR Training Group and a founding member of the Global Workforce Strategies Group, she is a well-regarded trainer on discrimination/harassment and best practices for HR and company management, and regularly counsels global clients on handbook and policy issues, HR fundamentals, and supervisor liability. In 2014, 2015, and 2016, Bunting was ranked as “Recommended” by The Legal 500 United States for her work in Labor and Employment: Workplace and Employment Counseling. Bunting is a member of Philadelphia’s first-tier ranked Labor & Employment Practice by U.S. News-Best Lawyers.
