GT Co-Hosts Retail Industry Seminars on Influencer Marketing, Intellectual Property, and GDPR Issues with Swedish Law Firm IPQ

NEW YORK – Oct. 2, 2018 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP and Swedish intellectual property law firm IPQ will co-host a seminar on influencer marketing, intellectual property, and GDPR issues affecting the fashion and retail industries in the United States and the EU, Oct. 9, 2018. Greenberg Traurig Shareholders Danielle N. Garno (Miami, Fashion & Litigation Practice), Bina Palnitkar (Dallas, Trial Practice), and Steven J. Wadyka, Jr. (Washington, D.C., Intellectual Property & Technology Practice) will co-lead the discussion at Condé Nast headquarters in New York.

On Sept. 11, 2018, Garno and Wadyka represented Greenberg Traurig in Stockholm at another event co-hosted with IPQ covering the same subject matter.

Garno focuses her practice on issues faced by the fashion community, including start-up phase and commercial advice, intellectual property such as trademark and copyright infringement, social media marketing, advertising, anti-counterfeiting, as well as employment and general business litigation. She also handles complex civil litigation matters with an emphasis on white collar defense and fraud actions.

Palnitkar is a trial lawyer whose practice focuses on resolving complex business and intellectual property disputes through litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution. She has broad experience handling breach of contract, trademark infringement litigation, anti-counterfeiting enforcement, international FCPA compliance matters, medical malpractice defense for health care entities, fraud, tortious interference, and theft of trade secrets.

Wadyka focuses his practice on the protection, enforcement, and defense of intellectual property rights. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in trademark infringement, copyright infringement, trade dress infringement, trademark dilution, false advertising, anti-counterfeiting, and unfair competition litigation in federal courts throughout the United States.
