Tracy L. Gerber Named ADR Champion by National Law Journal

WEST PALM BEACH, FL – June 1, 2018 – Tracy L. Gerber, Co-Managing Shareholder of global law firm Greenberg Traurig's West Palm Beach office and Co-Chair of the firm’s Broker-Dealer Securities Litigation Practice was selected by the National Law Journal as a 2018 Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) Champion.

The third annual issue of ADR Champions is a special supplement of the National Law Journal to recognize law professionals who continue to make their mark in various aspects of alternative dispute resolution.

“It is an honor to be included as an ADR Champion by the National Law Journal,” said Gerber, who is co-chair of the firm’s Broker-Dealer Securities Litigation Practice and a member of the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice. “The advantages of using arbitration and mediation are significant, providing an efficient and more cost effective means of resolving even the most complex disputes.”

Gerber is a seasoned advocate in arbitration and is often called upon by clients to litigate highly complex and sensitive disputes in FINRA and JAMS. Over the course of her career, Gerber has tried over 50 arbitrations to final award involving a broad range of issues affecting the brokerage industry. She regularly defends major Wall Street brokerage firms, registered investment advisers and other financial institutions in a wide variety of employment disputes and substantial cross-over experience in the regulatory and sales practice arena, having handled numerous SEC, FINRA and state regulatory inquiries, investigations and enforcement proceedings, as well as customer arbitrations. Gerber is a frequent and sought after speaker on ADR topics: she has presented mock arbitrations at the Securities Industry Institute at Wharton for the last 7 consecutive years, and in 2018 was a speaker on the panel “Negotiating Skills: Learn from the Experts” at the SIFMA 2018 C&L Society’s Annual Seminar.
