GT's Andrew Berg Speaks before the Bay Area ACC Chapter

SAN FRANCISCO – July 16, 2018 – Andrew Berg of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will speak at a program titled “FTC Privacy and Data Security Enforcement: Year in Review” July 17 in East Palo Alto and July 18 in San Francisco.

Sponsored by Greenberg Traurig and hosted by ACC Bay Area Chapter Privacy, Data Security, and E-Commerce Committee, the program will offer background on the FTC and its jurisdiction, discuss the lessons learned from its recent cases, and provide practical tips for responding to FTC investigations and requests for information.

Berg, a shareholder in Greenberg Traurig’s Washington, D.C. office and chair of the firm’s Antitrust Litigation & Competition Regulation Practice, will lead the discussion with a senior attorney from the Federal Trade Commission’s Data Privacy and Identity Protection Division.

Berg advises clients on unfair and deceptive trade practice matters involving advertising, marketing, privacy and data security, and financial and credit practices. He also counsels clients in litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and other antitrust and competition-related matters before the FTC, the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, state attorneys general, and in private litigation, including Hart-Scott-Rodino filings at the FTC and DOJ.
