Shari L. Heyen Named a ‘Top USA Woman Dealmaker’ by Global M&A Network

HOUSTON – July 12, 2019Shari L. Heyen, co-chair of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Global Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice and co-managing shareholder of the Houston office, has been named a “Top USA Woman Dealmaker” by Global M&A Network. She was honored with the award during the USA Growth & Deals Intelligence Forum July 11, 2019, in Washington, D.C.

The Awards honor and spotlight talented and respected women dealmakers from the private equity, lending, M&A investment banking, legal, and restructuring transactional communities in the United States. Selection is based on a woman’s unique expertise, deal execution record, and prominence and influence among her clients, colleagues, peers, and the industry. Honorees must have a demonstrable record of closing transactions, been with their respective organization for at least one full year, and have more than 15 years of industry experience to be recognized as a “Top USA Woman Dealmaker.”

Heyen has experience in complex restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency, and complex commercial litigation matters. She has broad experience in the prosecution and defense of fiduciary litigation, real estate, oil and gas, health care, receiverships, and alternative energy matters. She has represented numerous creditors’ committees, debtors, bank groups, acquirers, and other significant constituencies in national chapter 11 cases and workout proceedings, including complex oil, gas, and energy cases.
