Candee Wilde to Present at Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop 2021

PHILADELPHIA — OCT. 25, 2021 Environmental Attorney Candee Wilde of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP will be a featured panelist during the Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop 2021, a seminar set to expand knowledge of emerging trends and technologies involving brownfields and environmental remediation. The virtual event takes place Oct. 26-27, 2021 and is presented by the Brownfield Coalition of the Northeast.

On Oct. 27, Wilde will speak at the session, “PFAS Update – Impact on Redevelopment Projects,” providing insights on technical and regulatory challenges concerning per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in the region. The multidisciplinary panel will explore risk assessment, health, and environmental impacts, and engage audience input on potential solutions for managing and mitigating risk associated with these cited synthetic chemicals, in use for various applications since the 1940s, according to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

Based in Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office, Wilde represents clients with respect to their environmental liabilities, most frequently exposures arising from contaminated sites. She has experience establishing sophisticated risk management programs and placing manuscripted insurance products, providing regulatory advice, and handling private cost allocation, negotiation, and litigation of some of the largest contaminated sediment Superfund matters in the United States. In her work, Wilde guides clients on compliance matters with state-specific environmental statues, such as the Industrial Site Recovery Act and other New Jersey environmental laws.

Wilde also serves as executive director for the Delaware Valley Environmental American Inn of Court, which promotes professional development, ethics, and excellence among environmental law practitioners.
