Elaine Greenberg to Speak at Centerforce’s Virtual Summit on Women, Diversity & Change on Wall Street

WASHINGTON – Sept. 22, 2021Elaine Greenberg, a shareholder in global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Litigation Practice, will be a panelist at Centerforce’s Virtual Summit on Women, Diversity & Change on Wall Street. The summit, sponsored by Greenberg Traurig, will take place virtually on Oct. 6. Greenberg will participate in the panel titled “Busting Stereotypes and Unpacking Unconscious Bias” at 1:15 p.m. EDT.

Centerforce is “an independent company whose mission is to connect people and ideas by providing an engaging conference experience,” according to its website. The summit on Women, Diversity & Change on Wall Street brings together bankers, fund managers, leading investors, and finance executives to discuss best practices, actionable strategies, and lessons learned from the challenges women face in their careers on Wall Street.

The panel includes women working in finance as well as law and will discuss what unconscious bias sounds like, feels like, and looks like; how stereotypes justify a lack of inclusion; strategies to breakdown stereotypes and disrupt bias; and what to do when tactical solutions aren’t enough.

Greenberg is based in the firm’s Washington office and has over 30 years of securities law experience, including a 25-year tenure at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during which time she served as a senior officer in the Division of Enforcement. Her practice focuses on SEC, Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Department of Justice (DOJ), State Attorneys General, and other securities and financial services regulatory matters, examinations, investigations, enforcement actions, and litigation; white collar defense and corporate investigations; and public finance. Greenberg has represented, advised, and counseled major financial institutions and other financial services firms and their associated persons, including banks, underwriters, broker-dealers, investment advisers, investment companies, and municipal advisors; issuers of securities, including public companies and their officers and directors, and state and local governmental entities and their officials; and other organizations and individuals.
