Stephanie Peral

Stephanie Peral represents clients in complex commercial litigation, securities litigation and consumer class actions. She is also experienced in representing clients during internal investigations and in enforcement actions.

Stephanie has litigated matters in both state and federal courts involving contract disputes, breaches of fiduciary duties, fraud, and claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA). In addition, she has represented clients in connection with investigations by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Office of Inspector General (OIG).

As a member of the firm’s eDiscovery group, Stephanie handles and coordinates multijurisdictional and multinational discovery matters, including document collections, reviews, and productions.
Stephanie is also active in pro bono work involving immigration matters and matters concerning the First Amendment.

Erfahrung

  • Compelled arbitration of TCPA class action brought against national food and beverage company.
  • Representation led to dismissal, with prejudice, of a putative securities class action against a South Florida company.
  • Defending a plumbing product marketer and distributor in putative class action lawsuits involving, among others, claims of breach of express warranty, breach of implied warranty of merchantability, breach of state consumer protection laws, and unjust enrichment.
  • Representation of a cell phone tower builder in an FBI investigation into misappropriation of competitor's information.
  • Representing refugee in removal proceeding in Immigration Court in Miami, Florida.
  • Representing a private Christian school’s Constitutional challenge to a state actor’s viewpoint-based denial of the school’s request to pray over the public-address system prior to a state championship football game.
  • Pursuing a Fair Housing Act (FHA) complaint on behalf of an individual who was denied equal access to the common areas of her condominium building on the basis of religion.
