Lindsey Schmidt focuses her practice on complex and high-stakes litigation, drawing on her experience as a federal law clerk for the Honorable John M. Gerrard, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska. Lindsey has experience handling punitive class actions, construction arbitrations, product liability claims, and corporate investigations.

Lindsey is dedicated to pro bono work, providing pro bono services to those seeking U.S. asylum and those with criminal appeals, among other clients.

  • Representation of product manufacturers in product liability actions in state and federal courts.
  • Obtained the dismissal of a punitive class action alleging claims of negligence, breach of the covenant of good faith and fair dealing, and violation of the Montana Consumer Protection Act.°
  • Obtained summary judgment on behalf of a health care company in a breach of contract dispute in federal court.°
  • Represented pro bono criminal defendant in the reversal of his criminal conviction. The Minnesota Court of Appeals agreed that the search and seizure of client violated his Fourth Amendment rights and his conviction was reversed.°
