51st Annual Environmental Partnership Dinner Hosted by the Pennsylvania Environmental Council

Drawing a large and diverse audience of business leaders, lawyers, consultants, environmentalists, academics, and government officials, this year’s event will honor two conservation titans for their leadership with PEC’s Winsor Award for lifetime achievement:

• Franklin Kury, a leader in the enactment of environmental law, Kury authored and was lead advocate of the Environmental Rights Amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution—adopted May 18, 1971.
• Andrew Johnson, with deep experience in the environmental field, Johnson has advanced groundbreaking work as Director of Watershed Protection Programs at the William Penn Foundation.

PEC will recognize Bartram’s Garden—a 50-acre National Historic Landmark, outdoor classroom, and living laboratory for ever-expanding programs and audiences—with PEC’s Special Places Award and will also recognize PECO with PEC’s Industry Innovation/Corporate Sustainability Award for reducing its carbon footprint, and the initiatives it sponsors—most notably—PECO’s Green Region Open Space program.
