BOSTON (October 7, 2014) — Greenberg Traurig IP attorneys Alan N. Sutin and David J. Dykeman will serve as panelists for the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) program on “The Ins and Outs of Sponsorship and Endorsement Contracts,” from noon – 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at the BBA offices.
The panel, which also features Boston Celtics Associate Team Counsel Vered Yakovee, will provide an overview on both endorsement and sponsorship contracts in the Arts, Entertainment & Sports arena. Athletes, entertainers, and sports properties—ranging from collegiate bowls to professional franchises—are major parties to these types of contracts. Panelists will compare and analyze the hot topics that can arise when structuring a sponsorship and endorsement agreement and drafting the contract.
Alan N. Sutin is chair of the firm's Technology, Media & Telecommunications Practice and co-chair of the Global Intellectual Property & Technology Practice. An experienced business lawyer focused on commercial transactions with significant intellectual property and technology issues, Sutin brings a practical, business-oriented approach to advising companies as they expand their use of new leading-edge technologies. He advises clients in connection with transactions involving the development, acquisition, disposition and commercial exploitation of intellectual property.

David J. Dykeman is co-chair of Greenberg Traurig’s Intellectual Property Group in Boston and a registered patent attorney. With over 18 years of experience in intellectual property, patents, and licensing, Dykeman focuses his practice on securing strategic worldwide intellectual property protection. Dykeman also advises clients on business strategy for commercial transactions involving intellectual property and technology. Dykeman is the founding co-chair of the American Bar Association’s (ABA) Medical Devices Committee, and serves on the Editorial Advisory Board of Medical Device + Diagnostic Industry (MD+DI) Magazine.
