Greenberg Traurig Attorney Terence McCourt to Speak at ACI’s 21st National Conference on Employment Practices Liability Insurance

BOSTON (June 23, 2014)Terence P. McCourt, Boston managing shareholder of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig will be a featured speaker at the 21st National Conference on Employment Practices Liability Insurance. The conference takes place June 23 - 24, 2014 in Chicago, Illinois, and focuses on identifying new opportunities in the EPLI market, minimizing exposure to EPL risks, defending against the newest claims, and reducing litigation and settlement costs

McCourt, who is chairman of Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office’s Labor & Employment practice, will speak on the panel “Current Trends in Workplace Harassment and Discrimination and How to Reduce Exposure: Workplace Bullying, Transgender, Gender Stereotyping, Caregiver Status, Race, Age and Beyond” at 3:40 p.m. on Monday, June 23rd.

McCourt represents a broad range of organizations in all facets of management-side labor and employment law. During more than two decades of practice, he has gained a national reputation for his practical, solution-oriented approach to employment law issues. With wide-ranging litigation experience, McCourt handles diverse employment matters, including employment discrimination and wrongful termination cases in state and federal courts, wage and hour compliance, labor arbitration cases, non-competition cases, internal corporate investigations, and National Labor Relations Board proceedings. He also counsels employers concerning day-to-day human resources issues as well as myriad legal requirements in the workplace, particularly related to significant operational changes such as mergers, acquisitions, business relocations or reductions in force. Previously, he was Deputy Chief Legal Counsel to the Governor of Massachusetts and General Counsel to the Massachusetts Secretary of Labor.
