Greenberg Traurig’s Ian Ballon to Speak on Privacy at MLRC/NAA/NAB Media Law Conference

WASHINGTON D.C. (Sept. 16, 2014) Ian C. Ballon, a shareholder with the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, is scheduled to speak  at the upcoming 2014 MLRC/NAA/NAB Media Law Conference. The conference is scheduled to take place Sept. 17-19 at the Hyatt Regency Reston in Reston, VA and is  organized by the Media Law Resource Center (MLRC), in association with the Newspaper Association of America (NAA), and the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB).

Ballon will present during the Privacy Breakout Sessions on the recent explosion of TCPA class action suits. His speech will focus on litigation trends, including his experience successfully defending major data privacy and TCPA putative class action suits.

According the to the MLRC website, the conference brings together media counsel to discuss the top issues facing media and their lawyers today and is the most substantive and effective conference for experienced media counsel, focusing on the practical aspects of media law and litigation, national and international. The MLRC is a non-profit membership association for content providers in all media, and for their defense lawyers, providing a wide range of resources on media and content law and policy issues. MLRC also works with its membership to respond to legislative and policy proposals, and speaks to the press and public on media law and First Amendment issues.
