LAS VEGAS – Nov. 13, 2015 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP is pleased to announce that shareholders Martha Sabol and Laura McAllister Cox have been elected to new board of officer positions for the International Association of Gaming Advisors (IAGA). Sabol ascends IAGA’s board of officers to become the organization’s president, and McAllister Cox has transitioned into the role of secretary.
According to the website, IAGA is the largest association of leading U.S. and international gaming executives, attorneys, and financial advisors. The organization hosts numerous conferences and events each year in which attendees are able to engage with their peers on the latest topics and industry trends.
IAGA recently announced that it will be hosting a joint International Gaming Summit with the Gaming Regulators European Forum (GREF) May 31-June 2, 2016, in Malta. Leaders and regulators from various gaming sectors are invited to the summit, where they will be able to collaborate on pressing global industry issues. In the year ahead, IAGA will also be participating in the Macau Gaming Show in Macau S.A.R., the Global Gaming Expo (G2E) in Las Vegas, as well as the International Casino Exhibition (ICE) Totally Gaming exhibition in London.
Sabol is a shareholder based in Greenberg Traurig’s Chicago office, and is co-chair of the firm’s Global Gaming Practice and co-chair of the firm’s Women’s Initiative. McAllister Cox is a shareholder in the firm’s Philadelphia office. Both attorneys focus their practice on gaming regulatory and business law, representing national and international casino owners, private equity, and financial advisors, as well as operators and suppliers in the areas of regulatory compliance, acquisition, licensure, internal investigation matters, and corporate counseling.
