A Savannah jury has awarded $30 million in a business dispute involving allegations of stolen trade secrets, broken contracts and breached duty.
The winner is Bartlett Holdings of Plymouth, Massachusetts, a privately owned provider of equipment maintenance and technical services to power companies across the country.

The executives had a "fiduciary duty under the law to their company and to their employees," said Bartlett's attorney, David Long-Daniels, who tried the case with Ernest Greer and Peter Hall, all of Greenberg Traurig in Atlanta. They alleged that the defendants cost their client tens of millions of dollars in lost profits and cost many of its hundreds of employees their jobs.
Long-Daniels said he talked to the jury in closing about "leadership, loyalty" and "taking care of those you are chosen to lead." He also talked about "greed, theft and self-dealing." In asking the jurors to award damages, he said he told them, "When good people fail to right wrongs, bad things continue to happen."
