PHILADELPHIA – June 9, 2016 – The Philadelphia office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP was once again recognized by the 2016 Chambers USA Guide. Four Greenberg Traurig attorneys and two practice areas from Philadelphia were recognized. Firmwide, more than 190 attorneys were acknowledged.

The following Greenberg Traurig Philadelphia attorneys were recognized. Since the Guide’s inception, these four lawyers have been recognized a combined 32 times, 14 of them in “Band 1.”

  • James N. Boudreau - Labor & Employment
    • This is the third year Boudreau has been recognized by Chambers. He is chair of the firm’s Class & Collective Action Group. He represents management in class action and complex employment litigation, and devotes the majority of his practice to managing teams of attorneys and paralegals in nationwide class and collective actions. Boudreau also has first chair experience in restrictive covenant/trade secret litigation, having handled such matters in jurisdictions throughout the country.
  • David Gitlin - Corporate/M&A Private Equity
    • Gitlin has more than three decades of experience assisting domestic and international clients with corporate issues. According to the Guide, his sources say: "His strengths include significant experience with a diverse group of clients in various industries, the ability to be practical in terms of legal advice, and a very strong negotiating ability."
  • David G. Mandelbaum – Environment
    • According to the Guide, Mandelbaum is known as "truly exceptional" for his all-encompassing environment practice, in particular his skillful representation of clients in Superfund cases. Clients comment: "I admire how brilliant and nuanced he can be," adding: "David has a very keen intellect."
  • Diane E. Vuocolo – Bankruptcy/Restructuring
    • Vuocolo is recognized for the eigth time in 2016. She focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation, business reorganization, corporate work-outs and restructurings, bankruptcy law, loan restructurings, loan documentation, receiverships, restructuring distressed debt situations, and foreclosure litigation. Her clients include financial institutions, DIP lenders, leasing entities, creditors' committees, bankruptcy trustees, debtors, majority shareholders, guarantors, examiners, secured creditors, and trade creditors.

Additionally, the office’s Environmental Practice is ranked among the top in the Commonwealth and is specifically mentioned in the practice’s Nationwide recognition by the Guide. According to the Guide, the team is known for being an adept environmental law group, with specialties in Superfund litigation and brownfield development, among a wide range of other areas. They are well versed in risk management, regulatory compliance, and permitting counsel. Clients stated, "I am very impressed by them, specifically their accessibility and knowledge of the law."

In addition, the Guide acknowledged Greenberg Traurig’s Philadelphia office as a “Recognised Practitioner” for Bankruptcy/Restructuring.
