WASHINGTON, D.C. – Nov. 20, 2017 – Kara Bombach, shareholder in the Washington, D.C. office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, participated on a panel titled, “Increased Scrutiny of International Mergers & Acquisitions on National Security Grounds” at The George Washington University School of Law Nov. 15. The discussion was hosted by the school’s National Security Law Association in conjunction with the Business & Finance Law Program, the Graduate & International Programs Office, the International & Comparative Law Program, and the National Security and U.S. Foreign Relations Law Program.
The panel discussion focused on national security issues affecting international mergers and acquisitions. Bombach specifically discussed the role of the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS) in relation to international deals and how the process can impact the outcome.
