Greenberg Traurig’s Boston Office Adds 3 New Associates

BOSTON — May 8, 2017 — Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has added three new associates to its Boston office. Jaime L. Burke has joined Boston’s Intellectual Property & Technology Practice; Mairead T. Hickey joined the Real Estate Practice; and Alyssa C. Scruggs joined the Litigation Practice.

Burke is a registered patent attorney and focuses her practice on patent prosecution and worldwide patent portfolio management for a wide range of technology clients in the medical devices, electronics, mechanical devices, and computer hardware and software sectors. Burke received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Suffolk University Law School, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.S., magna cum laude, in Electrical Engineering and Biomedical Engineering from Tufts University.

Hickey’s practice focuses on commercial real estate law, including the acquisition, disposition, leasing, and land use of a broad range of property types including retail, office, institutional, and multi-use properties. She received her J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School, and a B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston College.

Scruggs focuses her practice on commercial and general litigation. She has experience in antitrust litigation, class actions, white collar defense, internal and governmental investigations, and immigration. She has also advised clients on issues related to economic sanctions, anti-money laundering, and the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. Scruggs received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, as well as a Certificate in Refugee and Humanitarian Emergencies from the Georgetown University Institute for the Study of International Migration, and a B.A., summa cum laude, in History and Government from the College of William and Mary.

These additions are the latest in a series of strategic new hires in Greenberg Traurig’s Boston office, including Barrett Wilson-Murphy and Erin Moody as associates to its Corporate & Securities Practice, and Kelly M. Bradshaw as an associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice.
