GT’s Joel Katz, Bobby Rosenbloum, and Paul Schindler Recognized in Variety’s Dealmakers Elite: New York

Greenberg Traurig is one of two firms with three attorneys included on the prestigious listing

NEW YORK – SEPT. 28, 2017 – Shareholders Joel A. Katz, Bobby Rosenbloum, and Paul D. Schindler of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP are recognized in Variety’s Dealmakers Elite: New York. The inaugural list profiles leading professionals from east of the Mississippi who have been influential in major entertainment industry deals in the past 12 months.

Earlier this year, Katz, Rosenbloum, and Schindler were also named to Billboard’s Top Music Lawyers, with Katz recognized as the 2017 “Lawyer of the Year.”

Katz is chairman of the firm’s Global Entertainment and Media Practice and the founding shareholder of the Atlanta office. Katz has been ranked Billboard magazine's number-one entertainment attorney in its 'Power 100' list of most powerful executives in the music business, and has been called "the dealmaker who thinks outside the box."

Rosenbloum is co-chair of the firm’s Atlanta Entertainment and Media Practice. He is one of the leading attorneys globally in the field of digital media, entertainment, and technology, and represents dozens of leading technology companies and digital service providers that negotiate licensing deals with entertainment content owners.

Schindler is the senior chair of the New York Entertainment and Media Practice. Over the years, he has served as counsel to numerous award-winning, multi-platinum musical artists, producers, record labels, and various types of entertainment companies.

In addition, Katz and Greenberg Traurig’s Daniel H. Black were also recently recognized by Variety on its “Variety 500” list of business leaders. According to Variety, the unranked international professional index lists business leaders shaping the global $600 billion entertainment industry.
