Gregory W. Kehoe Appointed General Counsel of Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation

NEW YORK – Oct. 7, 2019 – Gregory W. Kehoe, a shareholder in the Tampa office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., was recently appointed general counsel and a member of the board of directors of the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation.

“Greg will provide our foundation with the trusted counsel needed to ensure we’re good stewards of the resources we receive to accomplish our mission,” said Karl Horst, foundation president and CEO. “Greg has a great passion for those who have served in our Armed Forces and I know he’ll bring that passion to his service on our board.”

The Medal of Honor is the highest award for valor in action against an enemy force that can be bestowed upon an individual serving in the Armed Services of the United States. It is generally presented to its recipient by the President of the United States of America in the name of Congress. The foundation was founded in 1999 to perpetuate the legacy of the medal through character development, scholarship, and citizen recognition programs.

“I am honored to join the board of directors of the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation and work to empower citizens to embody courage, sacrifice and patriotism,” said Kehoe, who is a member of Greenberg Traurig’s Litigation Practice.

With more than 30 years of trial experience, Kehoe has a national and international practice focusing on representation of individuals, corporations, and financial institutions. This includes representation before federal and state courts as well as international tribunals. He worked for the U.S. Department of Justice as a prosecutor for over 20 years with postings in the United States, Europe, Asia, and South America. While serving as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, Kehoe was responsible for prosecuting high profile cases involving financial institutions and corporate fraud allegations, as well as racketeering charges.
