Greenberg Traurig Atlanta Expands Commercial Litigation Practice with Addition of Steven Rosenwasser

ATLANTA – Nov. 6, 2019 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has expanded its Commercial Litigation Practice with the addition of Steven J. Rosenwasser as a shareholder in the firm’s Atlanta office. Rosenwasser joins from Bondurant, Mixson & Elmore and focuses his practice on contracts, business torts, fraud, and class action matters.

"Steven's experience representing both defendants and plaintiffs in class action litigation gives him a unique and wide-ranging perspective," said Theodore I. Blum, Managing Shareholder of the Atlanta office and Co-Chair of the Atlanta Corporate Practice. "Among other things, his extensive work in fintech litigation around payments and new technology will expand the firm's national practice and serve as an asset for the Atlanta office and our clients."

Rosenwasser has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex business litigation involving breach of contract, fraud, breach of fiduciary duty and other claims. On the defense side, he has helped clients defeat cases where the plaintiff sought tens of millions of dollars, including successfully defeating nationwide class actions. Additionally, Rosenwasser has represented Fortune 500 companies, multi-million-dollar hedge funds, and other mid-to-large companies with class action, mass torts, and employment and labor issues. On the plaintiff's side, he has represented major companies in breach of contract disputes and obtained verdicts and settlements for clients exceeding $600 million dollars.

"I was drawn to Greenberg Traurig's global platform and collaborative culture across practices," Rosenwasser said. "I look forward to growing my practice and working with the firm's top-notch team of lawyers known for their innovative approach to law. GT presents a great opportunity for me to not only continue working on complex business litigation matters but to also expand my payments and fintech litigation practice.”

Rosenwasser has been listed as a "Super Lawyer" and "Rising Star" by Atlanta Magazine and recognized as "On the Rise" by the Fulton County Daily Report.
