Marcella C. Ducca Speaks at International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research 2019 Conference

ATLANTA -May 20, 2019Marcella C. Ducca, a shareholder in the Atlanta office of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP, is a panelist at the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR) 2019 Conference held May 18-22 in New Orleans at the New Orleans Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. Ducca is speaking as part of a panel entitled, “Proactive Post-Market Surveillance, 510(K) Update, and Real-World Evidence: Can It Improve Patient Safety, Outcomes and Provide a Competitive Edge?” on May 20.

The ISPOR 2019 Conference brings together a global audience of over 4,000 healthcare stakeholders to connect the shift in global healthcare with developments in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) and healthcare access mechanisms in order to make better health care decisions. Ducca’s panel will discuss the proactive post-market surveillance and RWE impact on medical product innovation, patient access and safety. She will explore medical product liability that could be driving regulatory changes and the impact of using real-world evidence (RWE) on patient safety.      

Ducca focuses her practice on the representation and defense of product liability litigation and defense of manufacturers with an emphasis on Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation. She was named a “Product Liability Rising Star” by Law360 in 2018 and featured in the American Bar Association’s “On the Rise: Top 40 Young Lawyers” in 2017. Super Lawyers magazine selected Ducca as a Georgia Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2013-2018.
