Shari Heyen to Moderate Panel at AC20 Virtual Series

HOUSTON – June 11, 2020 – Shari L. Heyen, shareholder and co-chair of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s global Restructuring & Bankruptcy Practice, will moderate a virtual panel at the Association of Insolvency & Restructuring Advisors’ AC20 Virtual Series.

Heyen will participate in the session titled, “Market Trends in Light of COVID-19,” June 11 at 1:00 p.m. Fellow panelists include Todd W. Filsinger, Teresa C. Kohl, and Samuel E. Star. The panel will address the industries impacted by COVID-19, opportunities, restructuring in the current environment, and CARES Act issues. They will also touch on industry issues in energy, retail, and healthcare.

According to the website, the AC20 Virtual Series offers attendees the opportunity to participate in both preconference programs – Bankruptcy Taxation and Financial Advisors’ Toolbox – 16 sessions on the hottest topics and developments in bankruptcy and restructuring, plus hear from two keynote speakers. The virtual series will take place June 2-24, 2020.

Heyen is also co-managing shareholder of Greenberg Traurig’s Houston office. She has experience in complex restructuring, bankruptcy, insolvency, and complex commercial litigation matters. She has represented numerous creditors' committees, debtors, bank groups, acquirers, and other significant constituencies in national chapter 11 cases and workout proceedings, including complex oil, gas, and energy cases. Heyen has broad experience in the prosecution and defense of fiduciary litigation, real estate, oil and gas, health care, receiverships, and alternative energy matters.
