WARSAW, July 28, 2020 - In the latest edition of the Ranking of Law Firms in Poland by the Rzeczpospolita daily, the Warsaw Office of Greenberg Traurig was listed in three categories related to its activities in the time of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Recognition for pro bono support to Polish entrepreneurs during the pandemic
The Firm was listed for its pro bono support provided to Polish entrepreneurs. The recognition was given for launching the GT COVID-19 Pro Bono Program and offering access to free of charge, professional legal advice of a world-class law firm to micro, small and medium enterprises.

Recognition for pro bono support to healthcare providers during the pandemic
The Firm was also listed for its pro bono support to healthcare providers under the GT COVID-19 Pro Bono Program in connection with negotiating and purchasing 200 genetic tests used by all labs running tests for the Ministry of Health in coronavirus diagnostics. The purchase also included eight diagnostic devices – thermal cyclers and automatic extraction systems, genetic tests and all the disposable materials necessary for conducting 200 thousand tests. The tests were provided to Polish citizens and donated to the Ministry of Health for the purpose of testing, identifying and isolating the infected, which is a key factor in fighting the coronavirus epidemic in Poland.

Recognition for internal organization of work in the Firm during the pandemic
The Firm was also recognized for its internal organization of work during the pandemic, as it devised and implemented a new organizational model protecting the employees and facilitating effective services to the clients. From the outset of the pandemic the Firm has implemented formal procedures designed and fine-tuned to make its office as safe as possible for the employees and visitors. The Firm has also established cooperation with Epixpert, a company providing comprehensive epidemiological security services, whose solutions provide additional protection for all persons present in the office by minimizing the risk of infection. Despite the radical changes in the functioning of the Firm, it supported its clients invariably to the highest standards even through the most difficult months of March and April, and continues to safely provide its services today.

The 18th edition of the ranking was organized based a new model due to special conditions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The results and recognitions were announced online on the rp.pl web site. There were no qualifications or evaluations, including the quality evaluations consulted by market participants, or in the transactions-specific part of the ranking. The recognitions granted in special categories of the ranking are equal.
