Pro Bono Team Secures Funding on Behalf of the Vatican from Philanthropist for Purchase of Life-Saving Devices to Face COVID-19 Emergency in Brazil

Milan – Sept.  15, 2020 – The Pro Bono Team at Greenberg Traurig Santa Maria has assisted Hope Onlus, an independent, non-profit organization, in securing a €500,000 donation from an Italian philanthropist for the purchase of life-saving devices to face the COVID-19 emergency in Brazil, on behalf of Pope Francis. Hope Onlus is focused on helping children and communities in critical circumstances around the world and now at the forefront of the fight against COVID-19. The organization is enhancing its activities in Brazil by focusing on the support of local hospitals in the Amazon area. At the end of the pandemic, the devices will be re-distributed to entities in need around the world.
