LOS ANGELES – Oct. 14, 2021 – Robert J. Herrington, co-chair of global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Class Action Litigation Practice, will be a panelist in a JAMS webinar titled “Cutting Edge Issues In Mediating and Arbitrating Consumer Class/Mass Action Claims.” The webinar will take place Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. PDT and will offer continuing legal education (CLE) credit.
The panel will discuss litigating and mediating consumer class actions, including the effects of recent cases on class litigation and mediation, standing challenges, UCL claims, and strategies for settling class action suits. It will also discuss arbitrating mass consumer claims, including the rise of mass arbitration, procedural tools for managing and litigating mass arbitration proceedings, and plaintiff and defense strategies for addressing mass arbitration filings.
Herrington focuses his practice on defending consumer products companies in complex, multi-party litigation, including class actions, government enforcement litigation, product defect litigation, and mass torts. He represents companies in a variety of industries, including apparel and footwear, retail, emerging technologies, consumer electronics, video game, telecommunications, advertising and publicity, online retailing, food and beverage, nutritional supplements, personal care products, sports and fitness, outdoor equipment, home appliances, automotive, and insurance.
