Greenberg Traurig's Daniel Black, Bobby Rosenbloum, and Mathew Rosengart Named to The Hollywood Reporter’s 2021 ‘Power Lawyers’ List

THR’s editors extensively vet the attorneys who are negotiating the industry’s biggest deals and navigating its most impactful litigation to select 100 individuals for the “Power Lawyers” list.

Black, Vice Chair of the firm's global Entertainment & Media Practice and Chair of the West Coast Entertainment and Media Practice, has wide-ranging experience in the television, motion picture and digital media arenas, having practiced law both in the major studio and law firm settings. Black is widely recognized for his ability to easily navigate on the cutting edge of media and the traditional entertainment business. He has served as lead counsel on transactions with the major motion picture studios, television networks and streamers, in addition to major Internet content producing, licensing and advertising entities. He represents c-suite and other high-level entertainment and media executives in the negotiation of their employment agreements. In addition, his clients include production and distribution, Internet, video game, and augmented reality companies as well as advertising agencies, showrunners and producers, along with on-air television and sports personalities. Black also has deep experience representing clients based outside of Los Angeles in their entertainment industry-related matters.

Rosenbloum, Chairman of the firm's global Entertainment & Media Practice, is one of the leading attorneys globally in the field of digital media, entertainment, and technology. He represents dozens of leading technology companies and digital service providers that negotiate licensing deals with entertainment content owners. Rosenbloum has developed a wide-ranging legal practice, counseling more than 200 businesses, including Fortune 500 companies and prominent startups on their global digital media strategies. He is widely considered one of the primary architects of the modern digital music business.

Rosengart, a shareholder in the firm’s Media and Entertainment Litigation Practice, is based in the Los Angeles office and is a former federal prosecutor, with substantial civil and criminal trial experience. A former law clerk to Justice David H. Souter on the Supreme Court of New Hampshire, he also served as a supervisory assistant United States attorney and Justice Department trial attorney, where he prosecuted a broad array of cases ranging from violent crimes to public corruption.

Rosengart has served as lead counsel in more than a dozen trials and conducted numerous complex federal grand jury investigations, including several of national and international significance, such as the investigation and prosecution of a United States Cabinet Officer and a central figure in the "China-Gate" federal campaign contribution/espionage cases. He further prosecuted a public corruption case commenced at the request of former Attorney General Janet Reno, in which he conducted examinations of several high-ranking government officials, including senior members of the United States Senate, the Justice Department, and The White House.
