SHRM Talent Conference & Expo 2021

San Francisco shareholder Jamie R. Rich and Philadelphia shareholder Kelly Dobbs Bunting will present at The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) talent conference, broadcasted live online and held in-person at the Caesar's Forum in Las Vegas. Rich, a member of the firm's Labor & Employment Practice, and Bunting, the appointed co-chair of the Membership Development and Engagement Committee of the ABA Section of Labor and Employment Law, will present at the session "Social Justice in the Workplace: Corporate Responsibility and Compliance" on August 24, 2021. This session will explain the do's and don'ts regarding corporate social justice initiatives in the workplace, and discuss the impact on employee recruiting and retention. The session will also address the legal implication of such programs, including the potential for disparate impact discrimination claims and affirmative action issue.
