Greenberg Traurig and AcuTech Consulting Group are pleased to announce that we are hosting a roundtable webinar on the lessons learned from the Watson Grinding and Manufacturing explosion on November 1, 2023 from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. CT.
On January 24, 2020, a devastating explosion occurred at Watson Grinding and Manufacturing in northwest Houston, Texas. The incident resulted in the loss of lives, significant damage to nearby houses and businesses, and raised concerns about the absence of zoning ordinances separating industrial areas from residences. This incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of maintaining a safe working environment and having effective emergency response plans in place.
The webinar will highlight the importance of an effective process safety management program for organizations working with highly hazardous materials, even if not in government-regulated quantities. Featured speakers will be from AcuTech Consulting Group, a global firm providing process safety management and security services since 1994, Greenberg Traurig, a global law firm with more than 2650 attorneys, The U.S. Chemical Safety and Hazard Investigation Board, and the Houston Fire Department.
