MIAMI (Oct. 22, 2014) - International law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A. will be honored for its contribution to the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation at the organization’s Cycle of Discovery Brunch. The event will be held Oct. 26 at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida.
Greenberg Traurig will receive the Benefactors award for contributing more than $25,000. The firm will also be honored with an inscription on the Benefactor’s Wall at the Diabetes Research Institute.
The Cycle of Discovery awards program features a series of eight crystal sculptures portraying the scientific journey through the evolution of an idea. Sculptures are presented to donors upon reaching a specific donation level.
The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, headquartered in Hollywood, Florida, is a national organization that relies on private philanthropy to support diabetes research. Founded in 1971 by a small group of parents of children with diabetes who were dedicated to finding a cure, the Foundation has grown into an international coalition who have elevated the importance of cure-focused research and provided support for the DRI’s multidisciplinary research program.
Greenberg Traurig Shareholder Sabrina R. Ferris currently serves on the DRIF’s Florida Region Board of Directors.
