Greenberg Traurig Bolsters its Labor & Employment Practice with the Addition of Ronda B. Esaw in Northern Virginia

MCLEAN, Va. – Dec. 17, 2014 – Ronda B. Esaw has joined the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP as shareholder in its Labor & Employment Practice. She will reside in the Northern Virginia office. Prior to joining the firm, Esaw was a partner at McGuireWoods LLP.

Esaw will focus her practice on labor and employment law, with an emphasis on employment discrimination litigation in the health care, aerospace, and hospitality industries. She is experienced in dealing with matters involving Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), as well as ERISA, OSHA, Sarbanes-Oxley, USERRA, and various other state, federal, and local discrimination ordinances and statutes. Esaw represents employers on discrimination claims, employee handbooks, disciplinary decisions, drug testing, executive employment agreements, workplace harassment, family and medical leave, trade secrets, business torts, and covenants not to compete. She is experienced representing clients before the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, and the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs.

Esaw clerked for the Honorable George E. Honts in the Circuit Court for the City of Lexington. She is admitted to practice in Virginia and Washington, D.C. Esaw received her J.D. from the Washington and Lee University School of Law in 1994 and her B.S. from James Madison University in 1991.
