Greenberg Traurig’s Boston Office Rides in 2014 Best Buddies Hyannis Port Challenge, Raises over $115,000 to Support the Organization

BOSTON (June 9, 2014) – The Boston office of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP participated in the 2014 Best Buddies Hyannis Port Challenge on May 31, 2014. The Boston office team included attorneys Jonathan Bell, Mark A. Berthiaume, Roman Fayerberg, Timothy E. Maguire, James D. Masterman, and Victor H. Polk, Jr., as well as staff members Michael Cohen and Patricia Florio.  Members of the team biked 20, 50 or 100 miles from Boston to Hyannis Port, raising over $115,000 in support of Best Buddies and its effort to assist those in the Greater Boston community with intellectual and developmental disabilities.  In all, over the last eight years, the firm’s Boston office has raised over $875,000 for Best Buddies.

The Best Buddies Challenge supports Best Buddies International (www.bestbuddies.org), a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Founded in 1989 by Anthony Kennedy Shriver, Best Buddies has grown from one original chapter to more than 1,500 middle school, high school, and college campuses across the country and internationally. Our programs engage participants in each of the 50 United States and on six continents, positively impacting 700,000 individuals each year.
