PHOENIX (June 18, 2014) – Greenberg Traurig Associate Dana Hooper has been named to the board of directors of the Phoenix Women’s Sports Association, a non-profit group dedicated to helping underserved girls participate in sports, encouraging their passion, pride and leadership to succeed in all aspects of life.
Hooper spent her childhood playing soccer and basketball, ultimately becoming a student-athlete at the University of Cailfornia at Berkeley, and then working in the sports industry. Now, as part of her law practice, she provides representation to athletes and sports-oriented businesses, including professional athletes and teams.
“For Dana, sports is not just something she does, but rather a huge part of who she is,” said Pam Overton, a Greenberg Traurig shareholder. “This board position is perfect for Dana because it allows her use her passion to inspire young girls to dream bigger than they ever have and to realize those dreams.”
At Greenberg Traurig, Hooper focuses her practice in the areas of employment law, commercial litigation and sports law. Hooper is also certified as an athlete’s agent.
