Greenberg Traurig Represents Axios, Inc. in its Sale to LGS Innovations

MCLEAN, VA. – Oct. 29, 2015 – Houlihan Lokey and international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP represented Axios, Inc. in its sale to LGS Innovations, a portfolio company of Madison Dearborn Partners and CoVant. The transaction closed on Sept. 30, 2015.

Mark Wishner, Chris Bugel, and Ryan Kelley, in Greenberg Traurig’s northern Virginia office, advised Axios on the transaction.

Axios is a rapidly growing provider of radio frequency communications and signal processing, mission operations, and frameworks and open source technologies for the U.S. Intelligence Community and Department of Defense. Headquartered in Dulles, Virginia, the company has more than 120 employees. Axios will retain its name and become a separate division within LGS.

LGS Innovations delivers next generation solutions that solve the most complex networking and communications challenges facing the U.S. federal government, state and local governments, foreign governments, and commercial enterprises. Wishner has more than 35 years of corporate transactional experience. His practice encompasses public and private securities offerings, domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, SPACs, leveraged buyouts, private investor representations, corporate governance, restructurings, and SEC reporting and compliance matters. Since 2004, Wishner has led transaction teams in transactions having a value in excess of $3 billion. He has wide-ranging industry experience in government services and information technology, and has been listed in Chambers USA as a leading corporate attorney in northern Virginia.

Bugel focuses his practice on general corporate and transactional matters. He represents clients regarding mergers and acquisitions, commercial agreements, debt and equity financing, and corporate securities matters.

Kelley advises companies on a broad range of legal needs arising from early inception to their growth stages. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and business financing.
