MIAMI – Oct. 8, 2015 – Nikki Lewis Simon, a Shareholder and Director of Client Development and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Miami office of international law firm Greenberg Traurig, P.A., has been named to the Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation’s Board of Directors.
As a board member, Simon will contribute to the strategic development and execution of the foundation’s vision for inclusion.
The Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation's primary goal is to build an effective pathway to diversity in the legal profession by providing opportunities and support to minority and women law students through mentoring programs, networking and fellowships. The Foundation regularly promotes awareness in the legal community for the need to increase diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. The Foundation recruits and assists experienced lawyers and judges to mentor black law students attending law school in Florida. In addition, the Foundation works with other voluntary bar associations to find mentors for all minority law students attending law school in Florida.
“I am honored to join the Kozyak Minority Mentoring Foundation Board of Directors,” Simon said. “I look forward to working with my fellow board members to further the organization’s mission of enhancing diversity in the legal community.”
Simon, who practiced litigation at the firm for more than a decade, is involved in various diversity and women-focused initiatives at the firm and in the community. As the firmwide Director of Client Development and Corporate Social Responsibility of Greenberg Traurig’s Miami office, Simon works to strategically align the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives with clients’ needs as part of an integral component of the firm’s global business development efforts.
