Real estate associates face a steep learning curve in their early law firm years, and while the thought of bringing new clients to the firm — on top of becoming experts in real estate law — can seem overwhelming, attorneys say a few simple strategies can go a long way toward helping young lawyers build a book of business.

While networking through industry events and speaking engagements is important, building relationships with in-house lawyers and staying in touch with opponent-side law firm counsel can also help to bring in business at a later date, lawyers say.
