Greenberg Traurig’s Lori Cohen to Speak at the American Bar Association’s 2015 Section of Litigation Annual CLE Conference

ATLANTA –April 13, 2015 – Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Lori G. Cohen will speak at the American Bar Association’s (ABA) 2015 Section of Litigation Annual CLE Conference taking place April 15-17, 2015 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Section Annual Conference brings together litigators and judges from across the country to learn the latest in trial skills. The conference provides over 30 CLE programs presented by nationally known speakers. Cohen will speak April 16, 2015, on the 4:20 p.m. panel entitled, “Strategy from the Grandmasters: The Art of Closing Argument.”

With nearly 400,000 members, the ABA is one of the largest voluntary professional membership organizations in the world. As the national voice of the legal profession, the ABA works to improve the administration of justice, promotes programs that assist lawyers and judges in their work, accredits law schools, provides continuing legal education, and works to build public understanding around the world of the importance of the rule of law.

Cohen is chair of the firm’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device & Health Care Litigation Practice and Trial Practice. She has a national litigation practice focusing on product liability litigation and specifically, medical device and pharmaceutical litigation. She is widely-recognized for her trial skills, having received 56 defense verdicts at trial. She was profiled in Law360’s 2012 "Top Female Trial Attorneys," The Financial Times, and The National Law Journal’s “Winning - Successful Strategies From Some of the Nation’s Top Litigators,” a special report recognizing 10 attorneys from across the United States. The National Law Journal recognized Cohen as one of "The 50 Most Influential Women Lawyers in America” and recognized two of her defense trial victories as “Top Defense Wins” in recent years. The publication also featured her in their "Top 40 Under 40," which highlights the 40 most successful litigators under the age of 40 in the country.
