Greenberg Traurig’s Kaitlyn Maxwell Elected to Board of the Society of Women Environmental Professionals

PHILADELPHIA – Sept. 28, 2015 – Kaitlyn R. Maxwell, an Environmental Practice attorney in the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Philadelphia office, was recently elected to the Board of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Society of Women Environmental Professionals (SWEP).

According to their website, SWEP is a national non-profit professional association of persons interested or involved in environmental law, science, business, and policy. The association educates members on new environmental developments and promotes the professional development and achievement of women in the environmental field. SWEP is best known for its Touchstone Award Reception that recognizes female contributions to the environmental field of practice including government, private industry, and non-profit sectors. This year’s Touchstone Awards will take place Nov. 5, 2015, at the Radnor Hotel in Wayne, Pennsylvania.

Maxwell focuses her practice on general environmental and energy matters. Her work includes litigation of major contamination cases under the hazardous waste and Superfund laws. She attended Dickinson College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and Boston University School of Law. She also served as a law clerk to Hon. Linda K. Caracappa, United States Magistrate Judge for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, before entering private practice.
