NEW YORK – Jan. 11, 2016 – The Executive Committee of leading 1,900-lawyer global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP has approved an expected, previously announced expansion of its senior management team.
Following are the changes that became effective Jan. 1, 2016:
- Brian L. Duffy, previously a president of the firm, assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer. Duffy will split his time between the Denver and New York offices. Duffy joined Greenberg Traurig 15 years ago. He previously served as chair of the firm’s global litigation department.
- Richard A. Rosenbaum, previously CEO, stepped into the Executive Chairman role and continues as the firm's strategic leader. He retains responsibility for a number of the firm's important leadership obligations.
- Larry J. Hoffman was named Founding Chairman. Hoffman was a founder of the firm, former chair of its Corporate & Securities Practice, and its second CEO.
- Cesar L. Alvarez and Matthew B. Gorson are now Senior Chairmen. Alvarez was a former firm CEO and former chair of its Corporate & Securities Practice. Gorson was a former firm President and former chair of its Real Estate Practice, among other leadership roles.
- Ernest LaMont Greer was named Co-President along with Co-President Hilarie Bass. Greer was a vice president of the firm and was the managing shareholder of the Atlanta office. He is the immediate Past Chairman of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce. Bass was previously chair of the firm’s global litigation department. She is currently an unopposed candidate for President-Elect of the ABA. In 2011, she completed her term as chair of the ABA Litigation Section.
- Bradford D. Kaufman became Global Chair of Professional Development and Integration as well as co-chair of the Securities Litigation Group and leads the firm’s Associate Development Program. He also is a vice president and treasurer of the firm.
