Greenberg Traurig LLP announced Tuesday that it has lured an energy industry partner from Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP to its Houston office and is also adding one associate there and another in Dallas.
Alfredo Ramos joins Greenberg Traurig after spending about two and a half years at Gardere, where he was also a partner. Ramos will focus his practice on energy and international project development, particularly in relation to Latin America.
Ramos said Greenberg Traurig’s depth in its global energy and infrastructure practice was the motivating factor behind his move to the firm.
“There’s such a great team that spans all over the globe and covers the entire range of services that my clients are interested in,” Ramos said. “It just seemed like a great opportunity to move from a relatively regional Texas-based firm to a truly global firm.”
