Greenberg Traurig Attorney Henry M. Greenberg to Speak at New York City Bar Association

NEW YORK – Dec. 5, 2016 – Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP’s Henry M. Greenberg will be participating in the New York City Bar Association’s CLE program “Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye: A Clerk’s Eye View,” Dec. 12. The CLE event will take place at the New York City Bar Association’s landmark building on 42 West 44 St. in New York City. The program will look at the many facets of the tenure of former Chief Judge Judith S. Kaye through reminiscences of her former clerks, as well as a look back on her influence as mentor, role-model, and teacher.

Greenberg, a Litigation shareholder in the firm’s Albany office, was a law clerk for Judge Kaye from 1988-1990. He will be speaking alongside Hon. Michael J. Garcia, Roberta A. Kaplan, Mary C. Mone, and Hon. Jennifer Schecter, on a panel moderated by the Hon. Robert M. Mandelbaum.

Greenberg serves on a number of professional committees and bodies. Presently, he is chair of the New York State Third Department Judicial Screening Committee, a member of the Statewide Judicial Screening Committee, and counsel to the New York State Commission on Judicial Nomination. He is a Vice President (3rd Judicial District) of the New York State Bar Association, and the chair of its committee on the New York State Constitution. He is also a vice chair of The Historical Society of the New York Courts, a fellow of the New York Bar Foundation, and a member of the New York State Judicial Institute on Professionalism in the Law and the Advisory Group of the New York State and Federal Judicial Council.

The New York City Bar Association is a voluntary association of lawyers and law students. Today, they have over 24,000 members. The association aims to equip and mobilize the legal profession to practice with excellence, promote reform of the law, and uphold the rule of law and justice.
