Greenberg Traurig Picks Up Proskauer PE Pro In DC

Greenberg Traurig LLP said Wednesday it hired a former Proskauer Rose LLP partner with experience representing private equity firms, venture capital funds and technology companies in mergers, public offerings and securities law matters to its Washington, D.C., office.

Trevor J. Chaplick is the latest in a series of hires by Greenberg in its corporate and securities practice, bolstering the firm’s capabilities in corporate and transactional law, the firm said. Chaplick has represented public and closely held companies in mergers and acquisitions, and issuers, underwriters and investors in many public offerings, Greenberg said.

Chaplick has also worked on public and private investments in other countries including the United Kingdom, China, Denmark, Germany, France and others, according to the firm. He has helped companies in industries that include alternative energy, Internet, media, semiconductors, health care, biotechnology and communications, Greenberg said.

“Over the last 12 months, we’ve made important strides toward enhancing the expertise of our corporate team, and I am delighted that we are building on that momentum with the addition of Trevor Chaplick in our Washington, D.C., office,” global corporate and securities practice Chair Patricia Menéndez-Cambó said in a statement.
