Greenberg Traurig LLP has upped its game in New York with the hire of a leading capital markets and project finance partner from Chadbourne & Parke LLP.
Marc Rossell, 61, joined Greenberg Traurig on Thursday, after eight years as partner at Chadbourne & Parke.
Rossell says he decided to join Greenberg Traurig because the firm offered him the opportunity to expand his capital markets practice in Mexico, where it has had an office in Mexico City since 2011. “I have always had strong ties to Mexico; Greenberg Traurig’s local resources are among the best in the Mexican market, and thus there is opportunity to further expand my cross-border practice in Mexico,” he explains. Rossell’s new firm has 38 offices worldwide, while his former firm has 11, another incentive for the move. “There is also an opportunity to further expand my capital markets practice as a result of Greenberg Traurig’s expansive global network,” he points out.
